Sometimes, patients are transferred using scheduled commercial flights. Hope works with airline companies to allow for the safe transfer of patients on a normal flight. Commercial medical transfers are highly complex operations requiring the coordination of airline operations, engineering, security, medical teams and hospitals at both ends.
With special arrangements; patients on stretcher, life support (ventilator) and oxygen can travel on normal airlines.
